#6 THE PROTOTYPE
The first day of work at the factory was a series of experiences , all positive.
There's a lot of machinery there that I hadn't even heard of, such as a cutting laser, bonding plates, a water column resistance machine for IP protection certification, etc.
Let's look at the first one, the laser cutting one: "Put this here, press there, don't forget the fan, otherwise it'll create a terrible storm, and that's it." I jot everything down in my memory; I don't even have time to write it down in my notebook because we're moving on to the second machine I'll need, and then the third.
Alex, the friendly guy in charge of the warehouse who perfectly controls everything there, explains all this to me.
"Alex! I'm here to get the fabric I told you about for the firefighters from somewhere."
"Alex! Have you got the elastic for the polo shirts of I don't know what ready for me?"
"Alex! The UPS guy is at the door waiting for you to give him I don't know which one."
A real wild card and a support for his colleagues in the company, and I wasn't going to waste that gem of a kid .
I asked him a thousand questions, and he advised me on a thousand more. He didn't just tell me how to do it, he also shared his ideas with me.
But how happy I was from there to here, "Wow! And in these colors? Do you also have such a fabric?", etc.
To give you an idea, the warehouse must be about 60 meters long and 25 meters wide, as the entire wall is covered with giant spools of fabric. Hundreds of spools in a variety of colors.
We finally decided that the ideal material for the baggicase was completely waterproof , thus fulfilling one of the essential requirements for a case. It was also lightweight, another requirement fulfilled. Things are going well.
The second day I visited the factory, the fabrics that would go inside were decided upon, and we began laser-cutting the material according to the designs I created in Illustrator.
Now yes, the creation phase of THE PROTOTYPE has begun.
